Monsoon brings rain and thunderstorms to several provinces in Nepal

Currently, the country is experiencing the influence of monsoon winds, with the monsoon trough positioned slightly above its average location.

According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Weather Forecast Division, the entire country is generally cloudy. Light to moderate rainfall is occurring in a few places in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, and in one or two places in Madhes province.

This afternoon, most parts of the country will be cloudy. There is a possibility of moderate rain and snowfall with thunder and lightning in some areas of the Himalayan region.

In many areas of the hilly regions, there is a likelihood of moderate rain and snowfall with thunder and lightning. A few places in the Terai regions may also experience similar weather conditions.

There is a possibility of heavy rainfall in one or two places in the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces, as well as in the hilly and Terai regions of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces.

Tonight, the country is expected to remain generally cloudy. Some areas in the Himalayan region may experience moderate rain and snowfall with thunder and lightning.

In many places in the hilly and Terai regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, as well as in some areas of the hilly and Terai regions of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces, there is a possibility of moderate rain and snowfall with thunder and lightning.

There is also a chance of heavy rainfall in a few places in the hilly areas of Gandaki and Lumbini provinces, and in one or two places in the hilly region of Koshi province and the Terai regions of Gandaki and Lumbini provinces.
