Moderate rainfall and thunderstorms affect Gandaki, Lumbini, and Koshi provinces

Currently, Nepal is experiencing the partial influence of western and local winds. According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Weather Forecast Division, there are generally cloudy conditions in the hilly and mountainous regions of Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, while other provinces have partial cloud cover.

There is moderate rainfall with thunder and lightning occurring in a few places in Gandaki Province and one or two places in Lumbini and Koshi provinces. This afternoon, the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces are expected to be generally cloudy, with partial cloud cover in the remaining hilly, mountainous, and Terai regions.

There is a possibility of moderate rainfall and snowfall with thunder and lightning in some areas of Koshi Province, a few places in the hilly and mountainous regions of Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces, and the hilly and mountainous regions of Sudurpaschim Province, as well as one or two places in Madhesh Province. There is also a possibility of storms in a few places in Madhesh, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces.

Tonight, the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces are expected to be generally cloudy, while the remaining hilly and Terai regions will have partial cloud cover.

There is also a possibility of storms in a few places in the Terai regions of Madhesh and Lumbini provinces.
