Moderate rainfall and snowfall expected in hilly and Terai regions today

This afternoon, some areas of the country may experience moderate rainfall and snowfall accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning. According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology’s Weather Forecast Division, the hilly and mountainous regions will generally be cloudy, while the Terai region will see partial cloud cover.

There is a possibility of moderate rainfall and snowfall with thunderstorms and lightning in some parts of the hilly and mountainous regions, as well as in a few places in the Terai of Koshi and Madhes provinces. Additionally, one or two places in the remaining Terai areas may also experience such weather conditions.

Tonight, the entire country is expected to be generally cloudy. Some areas in Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, along with a few places in Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces, might witness moderate rainfall and snowfall with thunderstorms, lightning, wind, and hail.

In one or two places in the hilly region of Lumbini province, there is also a possibility of heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning.
