Moderate rain and snowfall expected in Nepal’s Himalayan and hilly regions

Currently, Nepal is experiencing the influence of a westerly low-pressure system in the upper atmosphere, along with local and easterly winds. According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Weather Forecast Division, the Himalayan and hilly regions of the country will generally be cloudy this afternoon.

Similarly, the Terai regions of Madhesh, Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces will see partial cloud cover, while the Terai regions of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces will mainly have clear weather.

There is a possibility of moderate rain and snowfall accompanied by thunder and lightning in a few places in the Himalayan and hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, as well as in one or two places in the Himalayan and hilly regions of Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces.

In a few places in the Terai of Koshi province and one or two places in Madhesh province, there is a possibility of moderate rain with thunder and lightning. Some areas in the Terai regions of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces may experience warm days.

Tonight, the Himalayan and hilly regions of the country, as well as the Terai regions of Koshi province, are expected to be generally cloudy, while the Terai regions will mainly have clear weather.

There is a possibility of moderate rain and snowfall with thunder and lightning in a few places in the Himalayan and hilly regions of Koshi and Gandaki provinces, and in one or two places in the Himalayan and hilly regions of Bagmati province.

The Weather Forecast Division has indicated a possibility of moderate rain with thunder and lightning in one or two places in the Terai of Koshi province.
