Moderate rain and snowfall expected in Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces

Kathmandu – Nepal is currently experiencing the effects of a western low-pressure system and local winds. According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, the Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, along with the country’s hilly and mountainous regions, are generally cloudy, while the remaining areas are partly cloudy.

Light rain is occurring in some areas of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces. The department forecasts that this afternoon, the Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, as well as the hilly and mountainous regions of the country, will remain generally cloudy, with partial cloudiness in other areas.

There is a possibility of moderate rain and snowfall accompanied by thunder and lightning in some parts of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, as well as in some hilly and mountainous areas of Madhesh province and a few places in the Terai region.

Additionally, some districts in the hilly and Terai regions of Sudurpaschim province may experience strong winds, hail, thunder, and lightning. Tonight, the Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, along with the hilly and mountainous regions of the country, are expected to remain generally cloudy, while other areas will be partly cloudy.

The department has indicated a possibility of moderate rain and snowfall with thunder and lightning in some areas of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, as well as in a few hilly and mountainous locations in other provinces.
