Man kills wife with iron rod in Kathmandu domestic dispute

In Kathmandu’s Tarkeshwar Municipality-6, Lolang Paiyutar, a man killed his wife during a domestic dispute. The police reported that 42-year-old Kumar Thapa, known as ‘Nepali Bro’, attacked his 42-year-old wife, Ishwari Bhujel, with an iron rod.

The incident occurred around 10:10 PM on Friday night. Bhujel, who was critically injured, was taken to Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital in Maharajgunj for treatment, where she succumbed to her injuries.

Following the incident, the police arrested Thapa. He is currently in custody at the Balaju Police Circle as further investigation into the incident continues, according to the police.
