Madhesh Province to discuss new fiscal policies prioritizing agriculture today

The Madhesh Province government is set to begin discussions today on the policies and programs proposed for the upcoming fiscal year.

On Jestha 15, Province Chief Dr. Surendra Labh Karn addressed the Provincial Assembly with the annual policies and programs for the fiscal year 2083/84, as per Article 184, Clause (2) of Nepal’s Constitution. Discussions on these policies and programs are scheduled to start today.

The Provincial Assembly Secretariat has announced that a meeting of the Provincial Assembly has been called for 1 PM today.

The Madhesh government has prioritized agriculture in its policies and programs for the fiscal year 2083/84. The 27-page document, read by Province Chief Karn, includes several slogans such as ‘Made in Madhesh, Prosperous Province’, ‘Farmers’ Pride, Madhesh’s Makhana’, ‘Agriculture as the Mainstay, Soil Health Improvement’, ‘Our Province, Our Employment’, and ‘Send Your Children to School, Illuminate with Literacy’.

Once the policies and programs are approved, the Madhesh government will present its budget on Ashadh 1.
