Lumbini Province to celebrate Republic Day with special programs and ceremonies

Lumbini Province is set to celebrate Republic Day with various programs. To ensure the day is observed with grandeur and dignity, a main ceremony committee has been formed under the coordination of Chief Minister Chet Narayan Acharya.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Law, on the evening of Jestha 14, a lamp lighting program will be organized at the provincial ministry, subordinate offices, and various government bodies to mark Republic Day.

The ministry also announced that a cleaning program will be conducted in the premises of the provincial administrative center on the morning of the same day. Furthermore, a special main ceremony will be held on the morning of Jestha 15 to celebrate Republic Day.

The program will see participation from provincial ministers, members of the provincial assembly, heads of security agencies, civil servants, representatives from various organizations, and the general public.

The provincial government has been celebrating Republic Day by linking it to the strengthening of democratic values, federal governance, and citizens’ rights.
