Light to moderate rain with thunder affects several provinces in Nepal

Currently, the country is experiencing the influence of both western and local winds, along with a low-pressure area in the lower atmosphere near the eastern region.

According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, there is generally cloudy weather in the Himalayan and hilly regions of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, while the rest of the country is partially cloudy.

Some areas in Bagmati, Gandaki, Koshi, Lumbini, and Karnali provinces are experiencing light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning.

This afternoon, the hilly and Himalayan regions of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces are expected to remain generally cloudy, while the Terai regions of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces may see partial cloudiness.

There is a possibility of moderate rain with thunder and lightning, as well as snowfall, in the Himalayan and hilly regions of Koshi and Madhesh provinces, as well as some parts of the Terai in Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, and a few places in the Terai of Sudurpaschim province.

Similarly, tonight, most of the Himalayan and hilly regions of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces will remain cloudy, while the Terai areas will be partially cloudy.

There is a chance of moderate rain with thunder and lightning, along with snowfall, in some areas of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, as well as a few places in Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces.
