Light rain reported in hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki provinces

Kathmandu – Currently, some areas of Koshi Province in Nepal are experiencing monsoon effects. According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Weather Forecast Division, other regions are under partial influence of local and eastern winds.

The department reports that Koshi Province and the hilly and mountainous regions of other provinces are generally cloudy. The weather is mainly clear in other Terai regions. Light rain is occurring in some hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.

This afternoon, the hilly and mountainous areas of the country, as well as the Terai regions of Koshi Province, will generally be cloudy. There will be partial cloud cover in Madhes Province. The weather will remain mainly clear in other Terai regions.

There is a possibility of moderate rain or snowfall with thunder and lightning in some hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi Province, and in a few places in the hilly and mountainous regions of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, as well as in one or two places in the hilly and mountainous regions of Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces.

In some parts of the Terai region of Koshi Province and one or two places in Madhes Province, there is a possibility of moderate rain with thunder and lightning.

Some areas in the Terai regions of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces may experience heat waves, and there is also a possibility of hot days in some parts of the Terai regions of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces.

Tonight, the hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, as well as the Terai regions of Koshi Province, will generally be cloudy.

There will be partial cloud cover in Madhes Province and other hilly and mountainous areas, while the weather will remain mainly clear in other Terai regions. There is a possibility of moderate rain or snowfall with thunder and lightning in some hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, and in one or two places in the hilly regions of Lumbini and Karnali provinces.
