Light rain and thunderstorms expected in hilly regions of Nepal today

The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Meteorological Forecasting Division, has indicated the possibility of light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in some areas today.

According to the department, the hilly and mountainous regions of the country will generally be cloudy, while the Terai region will experience partial cloud cover.

There is a likelihood of light rain with thunder and lightning in a few places in the hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, as well as in one or two locations in the remaining provinces. Tonight, Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces are expected to be generally cloudy, with partial cloud cover in other regions.

In the hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi province, as well as in one or two locations in the Terai region of Koshi province and the hilly and mountainous areas of the remaining provinces, there is a possibility of moderate rain and snowfall accompanied by thunder and lightning.
