Students from the law faculty have taken to the streets in Kathmandu to protest against the government’s decision to dissolve student unions. On Thursday, law students from the Law Campus held a peaceful march and demonstrated along the Exhibition Road.

The students have criticized the government’s move as authoritarian. They carried placards with messages such as “Student rights are the foundation of democracy”, “Law students are awakening, dictators are fleeing”, “Stop interference with unions and organizations”, and “We need professors, not police on campus”.
