A landslide in Nepka village, Chankheli Rural Municipality-5, Humla, has damaged the building of a basic school located in Daphe. The landslide occurred last night following a sudden hailstorm, according to Chakkabahadur Tamang, a resident of Chankheli-5. It also damaged arable land and cattle sheds.

The cattle sheds of Ward Chair Harkadhan Tamang and Dhansingh Tamang were buried in the landslide, affecting the sheep and goats housed there. However, the exact extent of the damage is yet to be determined, informed Deputy Superintendent of Police Shankar Khadka, chief of the District Police Office.

He stated that a police team has already been dispatched to the landslide-affected area. Chankheli Rural Municipality, located northeast of the district headquarters Simkot, comprises four villages: Tallo Pali, Mathillo Pali, Piplang, and Nepka.
