Landslide blocks Mid-Hill Highway in Lamjung amid continuous rainfall

Lamaung – The Mid-Hill Highway section in Lamjung has been blocked due to a landslide triggered by winter rainfall. According to Gyanendra Bahadur Kshetri, the information officer at the Lamjung District Police Office, the road has been obstructed since this morning at Bimire Bhanjyang in Madhya Nepal Municipality-10 due to the landslide.

He stated, “Continuous rainfall since last night has caused the landslide, preventing vehicles from operating on this route.” Efforts are underway to clear the landslide, but the process is being delayed due to the ongoing rain, he added.

Additionally, the police have reported that the presence of several streams along this road section and the high water flow in these streams are preventing vehicle movement.
