The Labour Culture Party has begun preparations for next year’s local elections. The party has initiated the process of collecting names of potential candidates from across the country in anticipation of the elections.

The party’s central working committee in Kathmandu has instructed all 753 local level committees and districts to recommend names. Samir Tamang, the party’s deputy general secretary, has asked for names of those interested in running for positions such as mayor, deputy mayor, chairperson, vice-chairperson, and ward chairperson from all municipalities. Interested individuals must submit their names to the central office through their respective municipal or district committees.

To streamline the name collection process, the party has made special arrangements. Committees at the lower levels do not need to make separate recommendations or conduct internal competitions when submitting names.
