KMC to provide digital services

On the occasion of 28th KMC Day, the Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has launched an app, ‘KMC Sewa Prabaha’.

The KMC started digital service in order to provide maximum services to KMC dwellers in an easy and smooth way, said KMC Mayor Balendra Shah.

According to Nabin Manandhar, chairperson of KMC-17 and coordinator of KMC Information Technology Committee, the digital service provides immediate access to get any document and recommendation to the service recipients. He further stated that training to use the app was already imparted to the employees and chairpersons of all wards.

Important information, emergency contact numbers and complaints of people along with other different issues are incorporated in the app as said by Manohar Bhattarai, App Developer.

Chairpersons from other wards stressed that it would be fully implemented. It is said that once the online service is implemented, pressure of service recipients would be lessened by 60 to 70 per cent in every ward office.
