Around sixty per cent post of human resources has remained vacant at Health Service Directorate, Karnali Province.
Of the total 908 quotas in Karnali, only 363 health workers are working, according to Dr. Rabin Khadka, Director at Health Service Directorate, Karnali Province.
“There are still 544 posts lying vacant and how can the health be improved from such situation”, he shared his worries at an interaction with media persons organized by the Directorate on the occasion of 75th World Health Day on Friday. He added that health sector has been affected due to lack of effective coordination and collaboration among three-tier government.
He further emphasized on revision in policy to make the health insurance scheme more effective pointing to the need of health insurance based on contribution.
