Joint survey addressing Nepal-India border issue to begin

Kathmandu, 25 Oct: The joint survey including officials from both Nepal and India has been scheduled on October 26, according to the Times of India.

The joint survey will address the issues of widespread encroachments in the No-Man’s land along Nepal and India (Uttarakhand), the paper said.

A total of 269 pillars demarcating the border in the area are found to be missing and people from both sides are alleged to have encroached upon no man’s land and set up farms on the border, it added.

There is no version from the Nepal side available as yet on the issue.
