Jeep accident in Parbat district kills ward member, injures two others

A jeep accident in Kushma Municipality-14, Arthur Dandakhark, Parbat district, claimed one life last night. The jeep fell approximately 500 meters off the road.

According to Dinesh Paudel, the information officer at the District Police Office, the jeep with registration number Ga 1 Ja 5865 was heading from the ward office in Arthur Dandakhark towards Charipani when it met with an accident at a place called Andherineta. The accident resulted in the death of 52-year-old ward member Keshav Raj Paudel.

He sustained severe injuries to his head and other parts of his body and was declared dead by doctors after being taken to Pokhara for treatment.

The jeep driver, 27-year-old Buddhisagar Paudel, and 46-year-old Rajendra Paudel, both from the same ward, were injured in the accident.

Both are currently receiving treatment at Manipal Teaching Hospital in Pokhara, according to the police.
