Kathmandu, 24 Sept: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) of India confiscated property of Sikh separatist on Saturday.

The NIA confiscated land and part of a house in Amritsar and Chandigarh belonging to Gurpatwant Sing Pannu, the Canada based founder and lawyer of the banned pro-Khalistan outfit Sikhs for Justice (SFJ), according to Indian Express.

The NIA court had issued non-bailable arrest warrants against Pannu in February 2021 and he was declared a ‘proclaimed offender’ last November, it added.

The NIA also issued a notice to seize the property of Hardeep Sing Nijjar whose killing in British Columbia, the western most province of Canada, in June has now triggered a fierce diplomatic row between India and Canada.
