House of Representatives Election: 18 Percent of Votes Cast by Noon

Kathmandu — As of 12 noon today, approximately 18 percent of registered voters had cast their ballots in the House of Representatives election, the Election Commission reported.

Voting began nationwide at 7 a.m. and, according to the commission, 3,163,736 votes had been recorded by midday.

The election body also said that voting is continuing enthusiastically and peacefully across most polling centers throughout the country.
