Home Minister Sudan Gurung Resigns Amid Growing Controversy

Kathmandu — Powerful Home Minister  Sudan Gurung who has been in the state of controversary and public debate with financial dealings associated with Deepak Bhatta has resigned from his position.

Initially Resisting firmly the demand for his resignation, In a statement today Gurung said “morality and public trust is the biggest asset for anyone in public  life. As someone closely associated with Gen Z movement that believed in good governance, transparency and accountability he would insist on a impartial investigation into the allegation against him.”  He further added, I am resigning with immediate effect as the Home Minister to encourage a impartial investigation and to avoid any conflict of interest.

Sudan Gurung went further, daring journalists to make their own property public as well taking his own example.

He personally submitted his resignation to Prime Minister Balendra Shah.
