Government forms committee to investigate concerns about ex-Home Minister Gurung

The government has formed a committee to study and investigate public concerns raised during and after the tenure of former Home Minister Sudhan Gurung.

The Cabinet meeting on 28th of Baisakh 2083 decided to establish the committee, appointing former High Court Judge Achyut Prasad Bhandari as the chair, with Auditor General Shobhakant Paudel and Deputy Attorney General Achyutmani Neupane as members.

According to Prime Minister Balendra Shah’s press and research advisor, Dipa Dahal, the committee has been tasked with conducting a factual study and investigation into the issues publicly raised concerning former Home Minister Gurung, who is also a member of the House of Representatives. The committee is required to submit a report with recommendations to the government within 15 days.
