Gold prices in Nepal drop by NPR 5,500 per tola on Thursday

Gold prices in the Nepali market dropped by NPR 5,500 per tola on Thursday. According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of hallmark gold was set at NPR 285,000 per tola on this day. On the previous trading day, Wednesday, gold was traded at NPR 290,500 per tola.

The association noted that the decline in gold prices in the international market has directly impacted the Nepali market. Recently, gold prices have been consistently falling. Last Thursday, the price of gold reached NPR 293,800 per tola, while on Magh 15, it had reached a record high of NPR 339,000 per tola.

Similarly, the price of silver has also decreased. On Thursday, silver fell by NPR 215 per tola, trading at NPR 4,865, according to the association. The previous day, silver was traded at NPR 5,080 per tola.

Compared to last week, silver prices have also been on a downward trend. Last Thursday, silver was traded at NPR 5,050 per tola.
