Gold Price Soars to Record High, Hits NPR 318,800 per Tola

Kathmandu — Gold and silver prices in Nepal’s local markets hit new record highs again today.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of one tola of hallmark gold reached NPR 318,800, while silver traded at NPR 7,300 per tola. Yesterday, gold was priced at NPR 309,300 per tola and silver at NPR 6,870.

In the international market, gold is trading at about USD 5,200 per ounce and silver at USD 111 per ounce, according to global media reports.
