Kathmandu — Nepali Congress President Gagan Thapa has extended his best wishes to Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) President Rabi Lamichhane and the entire RSP family on the occasion of their first historic national convention.

In a message on social media, Congress President Thapa praised the achievements RSP has made in Nepali politics in a short period.

Thapa noted that RSP has successfully established itself strongly in national politics by garnering significant public support in a short time since its inception.

He commended the journey from organizational building to elections under the leadership of President Rabi Lamichhane, stating that this convention is a historic opportunity for RSP to develop a more mature, responsible, and visionary perspective in terms of ideas, organization, and policies.

Similarly, Thapa expressed his expectation that this convention will provide momentum and energy to the party to embrace democratic values and practices and to protect constitutionally granted civil rights, making it ideologically clear, accountable, and more responsible.

He wished for the complete success of RSP’s first convention and extended his best wishes for President Lamichhane’s future political journey as well.
