Funerals of Gen-Z Movement Martyrs (Photos)

Kathmandu – The martyrs of the Gen-Z Movement have been given a state funeral with full national honors.

On Tuesday afternoon, the funeral was held with national honors at Pashupati Aryaghat. During the ceremony, a detachment of the Nepal Army paid salute.

Before that, a funeral procession carrying the bodies from Maharajgunj’s Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital proceeded via Chabahil to Pashupati Aryaghat.

Ten bodies were taken out in the procession from the Teaching Hospital. Of those, six were transported by air out of Kathmandu. Four were buried at Pashupati Aryaghat. Energy Minister Kulman Ghising also visited Pashupati.

The interim government led by Sushila Karki has declared those who lost their lives in the Gen-Z Movement as martyrs.

The government has also decided to provide each of the martyr’s families with NPR 1.5 million.
