First Judicial Festival in Madhesh Province held in Janakpurdham

In Mahendranagar, Dhanusha, the first-ever Judicial Festival in Madhesh Province is being held today in Janakpurdham. The event aims to make judicial services more effective, transparent, and citizen-friendly. Acting Chief Judge of the Janakpur High Court, Teknarayan Kunwar, stated that the festival will focus on the court’s progress, the status of case resolutions, and future judicial fairs.

The festival is organized to provide comprehensive information about the court’s performance, case management system, service delivery, the status of old case resolutions, and to offer citizens easy access to judicial processes.

Acting Chief Judge Kunwar emphasized the need for swift, impartial, and effective justice delivery to maintain public trust in the judiciary. According to him, the court is prioritizing the resolution of old cases. He believes that the role of the media is crucial in expanding citizens’ access to justice.

Kunwar mentioned that the ‘Judicial Festival’ is seen as a means to bridge the gap between the judiciary and the public. Through the festival, information about court services, judicial processes, alternative dispute resolution, legal aid, and citizens’ rights will be disseminated to the general public.
