Federal Parliament to discuss cultural heritage and film bills today

Kathmandu – Both houses of the Federal Parliament are set to convene separately today. According to the Federal Parliament Secretariat, the House of Representatives will meet at 11 AM, while the National Assembly will convene at 1:15 PM.

The agenda for the House of Representatives includes tabling the Intangible Cultural Heritage (Protection) Bill, 2081, which originated in the National Assembly, along with the message received from the National Assembly.

Additionally, Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle is scheduled to present the Economic Survey for the fiscal year 2082/83. According to the Parliament Secretariat, today’s meeting will also see Information and Communication Minister Dr. Bikram Timilsina propose consideration of the Film Bill, 2082, which originated in the National Assembly.

In the National Assembly meeting, Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle will also present the Economic Survey for the fiscal year 2082/83.

Minister Wagle is expected to propose consideration of the Alternative Development Finance Mobilization Bill, 2082, which has been received from the House of Representatives with a message.
