Death toll to Pakistan mosque blast reaches 88

The deadliest blast at a mosque in Peshawar, Pakistan Monday caused 88 fatalities.

The CNN quoting Mohammad Asim Khan, spokesperson from the Lady Reading Hospital in the city of Peshawar mentioned the death toll reached 88 and about another 50 blast victims were being treated for injuries.

It has further mentioned that hope was fading in the search for survivors as rescue workers sifted through the debris and rubble of the mosque that was all but destroyed Monday, as worshippers, mainly law enforcement officials, gathered for evening prayers.

More than 300 worshippers were praying at the mosque in northwestern Pakistan, with more approaching, when the bomber set off his explosives vest Monday morning, according to the AP news.
