Customs Department launches TIV Declaration Portal for streamlined trade facilitation

Kathmandu – The Customs Department has implemented the TIV Declaration Portal under the Nepal National Single Window System to further modernize and make trade facilitation more technology-friendly.

The department’s Information Technology System Development Branch issued a notice announcing the launch of this new portal.

This system was implemented following the decision made on 2083/01/17. It is expected that this portal will help expedite and streamline processes that were previously done in a traditional manner through digital means. With this system, stakeholders can now make TIV-related declarations online via the portal.

Under the new arrangement, service users can make TIV declarations and payments either manually or through e-payment.

The department has also directed all customs offices and designated subordinate bodies to operate this system regularly.
