CPN-UML to Hold Second Central Committee Meeting on January 10–12

KATHMANDU – The CPN-UML Central Committee meeting is scheduled to be held on the 26th, 27th, and 28th of Poush (January 10–12).

The first meeting of the party’s newly elected Central Committee, held on Friday, decided to call the second Central Committee meeting in the last week of Poush.

Furthermore, Deputy General Secretary Lekhraj Bhatta informed that the meeting has formed the Central Advisory Council.

The meeting also decided to publish the party’s amended statute within a week and send it to all party committees. Deputy General Secretary Bhatta stated that the meeting passed a proposal to publish the statute, as amended by the 11th National Convention, within a week and distribute it to all party committees. Additionally, the meeting delegated the responsibility of assigning roles and responsibilities to leaders to the Central Secretariat.

Bhatta said, “The party statute has been amended. It will be edited and published within a week and sent to all relevant party committees. The Secretariat has been authorized for the next division of duties. We have also formed the Central Advisory Council. The Central Committee meeting has been organized for the 26th, 27th, and 28th of Poush.”

The 11th General Convention of the UML, which concluded on Thursday, had elected Oli as the Chairman for a third term.
