CPN-UML meeting today to discuss division of responsibilities among leaders

The central secretariat meeting of the CPN-UML is scheduled to take place today. The meeting will be held at 1:00 PM at Chairman KP Sharma Oli’s residence in Gundu, Bhaktapur, with the main agenda being the division of responsibilities among party leaders, according to the party’s central office secretary, Dr. Bhishma Raj Adhikari.

Initially planned for Jestha 2, the meeting was postponed to today due to incomplete preparations. Since the party’s 11th general convention, responsibilities among leaders have not been allocated, making this the primary focus of today’s agenda, according to party leaders.

A party official indicated that there are plans to assign central committee members responsibilities at the local level. Each central member will be made in charge of a local unit, with instructions to strengthen the party in the upcoming local elections. Additionally, there are preparations to distribute responsibilities within the central departments and bodies.

Today’s meeting is also expected to set a date for the central committee meeting to review the elections held on Falgun 21.
