Contempt case registered against lawyer on assaulting Court employee

Kathmandu, 30 June: Amir Lamichhane, a lawyer, faces two contempt cases, in the Lalitpur District Court.

Lamichhine on Wednesday had assaulted Premika Tamang, an employee of the Lalitpur District Court while on her duty.

Tamang filed a case stating that she had been assaulted while being in judicial work. Similarly, a Court staff also filed a case following a report prepared over the incident.

Tamang sustained injuries on her face and also her clothes were torn.

Police have arrested Lamichhane on Thursday while the Court staff have obstructed the service on Friday demanding immediate action against Lamichhane and justice to the victim.
