Cloudy weather and light rain in several Nepalese provinces today

Currently, Nepal is experiencing the influence of western and local winds, as well as a low-pressure area near the eastern region of the country in the lower atmosphere. This has resulted in generally cloudy conditions in the Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Karnali provinces, as well as other hilly and mountainous areas, while the remaining Terai regions have partial cloud cover.

Light rain is occurring in a few places in the Koshi and Bagmati provinces. According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Weather Forecast Division, this afternoon, the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, along with other provinces, will experience generally cloudy conditions, while the remaining Terai regions will have partial cloud cover.

There is a possibility of moderate rain and snowfall with thunder and lightning in some places in the Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, as well as a few places in the remaining provinces. Similarly, tonight, the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi province and other parts of the country will experience generally cloudy conditions, with partial cloud cover in the remaining areas.

The Weather Forecast Division has indicated the possibility of moderate rain with thunder and lightning in some places in Koshi province, as well as in the hilly and mountainous areas of Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces. There is also a possibility of light rain and snowfall with thunder and lightning in one or two places in the mountainous regions of the remaining provinces.

The department has requested necessary precautions due to the possibility of moderate rain and snowfall with thunder and lightning in some places in the Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, as well as a few places in the remaining provinces.
