CIB seizes Smart Telecom documents from Ncell office

Kathmandu – The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police seized documents related to Smart Telecom from Ncell’s head office on Thursday.

The CIB visited the Ncell office and took control of important documents and evidence.

According to a CIB source, the documents were taken as part of an ongoing investigation.

In connection with the Smart Telecom case, the CIB had arrested the institution’s former chairman, Sarvesh Joshi, on 22nd Baisakh. In the same case, the police also detained Jyotiprakash Pandey, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Nepal Investment Mega Bank, on Wednesday. The bank, in a public statement, mentioned that it had auctioned off assets for loan recovery in accordance with existing laws and the Secured Transactions Act.
