The bridge built over the Mahakali River, connecting Bhimdatta Municipality and Dodhara Chandani Municipality of Kanchanpur, is the longest suspension bridge in Nepal.

This bridge has not only made travel easier for the locals of the two municipalities but has also been attracting tourists.

Thousands of local and foreign tourists visit here every year just to see this bridge. The Dodhara Chandani suspension bridge is located about 9 kilometers from Mahendranagar, the district headquarters of Kanchanpur.

The bridge is 1,452.96 meters long, 1.6 meters wide, and has a main span of 225.40 meters.

Until the 2000s (B.S. 2060s), when there was no bridge over the Mahakali River, the residents of Mahakali Municipality (Dodhara–Chandani) had to face great hardship.
