CAAN suspends captions involved in physical assault at airport

The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN), today, has suspended the licenses of two captains for breach of national safety standards.

The captions allegedly had a dispute leading to physical assault at the Manthali airport premises in Ramechhap on Friday morning.

The grounded captions Santosh Shah and Sanjeev Shrestha, belong to the Tara Air, a subsidiary of Yeti Airlines.

The CAAN took its X handle to share that the captions duo is suspended until further notice in order to conduct a thorough investigation into the dispute.

The detailed investigation may lead up to cancellation of licenses and other punitive measures as per regulation, it added.
