Broad Daylight Heist in Bauddha: 35 Tola of Gold and 70 Tola of Silver Stolen

Kathmandu — A large quantity of gold and silver was stolen in broad daylight from a house near Tusal in Ward 6, Bauddha, Kathmandu Metropolitan City. The theft occurred around 1 p.m. on Tuesday from the fourth floor of the five‑story home of local resident Rinjee Lama while no one was present, Kathmandu Police spokesperson SP Pawan Bhattarai said.

About 35 tola of gold and 70 tola of silver were taken, with an estimated market value of approximately NPR 10,453,900. The stolen items include 13 tola of gold and the rest in silver ornaments such as bracelets, tops, and rings.

Police have not yet identified the perpetrator, and an investigation is underway to find those responsible.
