Bhuvan Nagarkoti wins seventh Surya Nepal Challenge at Gokarna Golf Club

Professional golfer Bhuvan Nagarkoti has claimed the title of the seventh ‘Surya Nepal Challenge’, part of the Surya Nepal Golf Tour 2025-26. The four-day, 72-hole tournament concluded at Gokarna Golf Club, where Bhuvan delivered an impressive performance to secure his 15th career title.

On the final day, Bhuvan scored an even-par 68, finishing with an overall score of 11-under 261 to emerge as the champion. He started the tournament three strokes ahead of his nearest competitor. During the game, Bhuvan scored even-par 34 on both the front and back nine, hitting birdies on the fourth and fifth holes but facing a double bogey on the ninth. However, he maintained par on all holes of the back nine to secure his lead. Along with the title, he received a cash prize of NPR 130,000.

Dinesh Prajapati and amateur player Rahul Bishwakarma shared the second position with identical scores of 9-under 263. Dinesh won a cash prize of NPR 90,000 for his second-place finish, while Rahul Bishwakarma claimed the amateur title, with Swapnil Bhattarai finishing second in the amateur category. In the overall results, Shukra Bahadur Rai secured fourth place with 8-under 264, and Niraj Tamang came in fifth with 7-under 265. They received cash prizes of NPR 70,000 and NPR 55,000, respectively.

Sponsored by Surya Nepal Pvt. Ltd. and organized by PGA Nepal, the tournament saw participation from a total of 52 golfers. The total prize pool was NPR 710,000, with the top 18 professional golfers receiving awards.

The awards were jointly distributed by Vidur Raj Adhikari, Brand Manager of Surya Nepal Pvt. Ltd., Tashi Ghale, President of Nepal Golf Association, and Rabindra Man Shrestha, President of PGA Nepal.
