Barcelona is on the verge of clinching the Spanish La Liga title. On Saturday night, Barcelona defeated Osasuna 2-1, bringing them closer to securing the La Liga title for the second consecutive time.

With this victory, Barcelona has extended its lead at the top of the table by 14 points and is now just two points away from the title. Barcelona still has four matches left in the season.

If Real Madrid, currently in second place, fails to win against Espanyol in Sunday’s match, Barcelona will officially become the champion. Even if Real Madrid wins, Barcelona can secure the La Liga title by avoiding defeat in the ‘El Clasico’ against Real Madrid on May 10 at their home ground. The match against Osasuna was highly competitive.

Substitute Marcus Rashford delivered a precise cross, allowing striker Robert Lewandowski to score with an excellent header in the 81st minute. Five minutes later, midfielder Fermin Lopez broke through Osasuna’s defense, and Ferran Torres skillfully bypassed goalkeeper Sergio Herrera to extend the lead to 2-0.

However, Osasuna scored just two minutes later, making the final moments of the match thrilling. All three goals were scored within the last 10 minutes of regulation time. For Osasuna, Rahul Garcia reduced the deficit with a striking header from Abel Breton’s impressive cross.

Despite the late challenge, Barcelona maintained their lead until the end, extending their winning streak in the league to 10 games and nearly securing the title.

Following the win, Barcelona has accumulated 88 points from 34 matches. In contrast, Real Madrid, having played one less match, has 74 points, while Villarreal is in third place with 68 points, and Atletico Madrid has 63 points.
