Balen Shah visits P L Singh at hospital

Balendra Shah ‘Balen’, Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, today,  has visited P L Singh, former mayor at Mediciti Hospital.

Singh is recuperating at the hospital following an operation of his peptic ulcer last week.

Mayor Shah, inquiring about Singh’s health condition, also offered to help for Singh’s treatment expenses.

Singh, the then leader of Nepali Congress had been elected as the mayor of Kathmandu in 1992, first under the 1981 constitution.

He had announced his separation from the Nepali Congress party following the 2006 regime change and the political agenda including the Republic it pursued.
