As repatriation mission begins 253 Nepalis arrive home

Kathmandu,13 Oct: A Nepal Airlines aircraft with 253 Nepalis evacuated from Israel have arrived home early this morning.

The aircraft that left Kathmandu for Israel Thursday for the mission landed at the Tribhuvan International Airport at 2:40am this morning.

Foreign Minister N P Saud accompanied them back home.

The Nepali Embassy in Israel has been collecting, through an online registration system, the details of Nepalis willing to be rescued, safely relocated and repatriated to Nepal.

More than 350 Nepalis out of around 4,500 living there have already registered with the embassy with 288 expressing their wish to come back.

Ten Nepalis were killed in the Hamas Terror attack on October seven has created panic at home and in the minds of Nepalis living there.

The bodies of those killed and those injured needing will be brought to Nepal as necessary formalities are over, according to the official sources.
