Around 500,000 devotees visited Devghatdham on Maghe Sakranti

Damauli (Tanahun), Jan 15: Around 500,000 devotees visited Devghatdham, a famous religious site on the bank of Narayani river in Tanahun district, on the occasion of Maghe Sakranti.

Executive Director of Devghat Area Development Committee, Sadan Baral, said devotees arrived at Devghat from Sunday evening to take holy bath there and observe the fair organised on the occasion of Maghe Sakranti.

A large number of devotees visit Devghat with a religious belief that one will get redemption while taking a holy bath at Benisangam of Devghat.

A large number of security personnel were mobilized from Tanahun and Chitwan districts to ensure law and order and arrange security.
