America leads Paraguay 3-0 by halftime in World Cup qualifier

Kathmandu – In the fourth match of the FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifiers, the host team America delivered an outstanding performance against Paraguay, securing a strong 3-0 lead by halftime.

From the opening minutes of this thrilling match at Los Angeles Stadium, the home team managed to maintain constant pressure on the visiting team.

America took an early lead in the seventh minute, thanks to an own goal. Paraguayan defender Damian Bobadilla inadvertently scored into his own net while attempting to block a shot from American player Weston McKennie.

Then, in the 31st minute, Folarin Balogun doubled America’s lead with an excellent goal. Balogun further extended the lead by scoring his second personal goal during injury time of the first half, putting America in a comfortable 3-0 position by halftime.
