Foreign Minister Khanal Leaves for India, Says Talks Will Focus on Nepal’s Priority Issues

Kathmandu: Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal has departed for India. He left for New Delhi on Friday at the invitation of his Indian counterpart, S. Jaishankar.

Speaking to journalists at Tribhuvan International Airport before his departure, Khanal said that this is the first high-level visit since a government led by the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) came to power.

He also stated that discussions would be held with his counterpart S. Jaishankar and other officials on issues that are among the country’s key priorities.
