Nepali Congress calls opposition meeting over PM Shah’s land encroachment remarks

Kathmandu – Nepali Congress Parliamentary Party leader Bhishma Raj Angdembe has called a meeting of opposition parties at the Congress Parliamentary Party office in Singha Durbar at 12:00 noon.

His secretariat stated that the meeting will discuss the situation arising after Prime Minister Balendra Shah’s remarks in the House of Representatives on Sunday, where he said, “Nepal has also encroached on India’s land.”

Leader Angdembe has invited leaders from the Communist Party of Nepal (UML), the Nepal Communist Party (NCP), the Labour Culture Party, and the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) to the meeting.

The House of Representatives is scheduled to meet at 1:00 PM and the National Assembly at 1:15 PM today. The main opposition party is convening this meeting of all opposition parties before those sessions.
