Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) leader Dhawal Shamsher Rana has announced a new campaign with the intention of building a credible nationalist force in the country. He shared this decision through a press release. Dissatisfied leaders of the RPP gathered for a discussion at a hotel in Kathmandu on Sunday.

Following the discussion, Rana issued a statement, though he did not mention anything about his position within the RPP.

He has also called on people to join this new campaign.

“I invite all nationalist friends who love the country and desire its prosperity, including the new generation, to participate in this new campaign,” stated Rana in the press release.

Rana acknowledged that efforts to advance the RPP in line with public sentiment have not been successful.

“For the past four years, we tried to steer the Rastriya Prajatantra Party in accordance with public sentiment. However, due to contradictions and ideological dilemmas, the party ended up on the wrong path and was punished by the people,” Rana stated. “To those colleagues associated with the RPP who find this path right, I wish them well. There is no animosity. But if there is a desire to build sincere relationships and give our beliefs the right direction, I warmly invite all nationalist friends to unite and move forward.”
