Chief of Army Staff National Tennis Tournament-2083 begins in Kathmandu

Kathmandu – The Chief of Army Staff National Tennis Tournament-2083, organized by the Nepal Army with technical support from the Nepal Tennis Association, was inaugurated on Monday by Chief of Staff Pradip Jung K.C. The tournament features 13 events with participation from 218 competitors representing 13 clubs.

Initiated in 2078 B.S. with the aim of promoting tennis, the tournament includes open categories for men’s singles and doubles, women’s singles and doubles, and veterans’ categories for singles and doubles for ages 35 and above, 45 and above, 55 and above, 65 and above, and 70 and above.

The opening ceremony of the tournament, which will run until 12th Jestha 2083, was attended by army officials, representatives from the Nepal Tennis Association, Nepal Olympic Committee, various tennis clubs, army officers, journalists, and players.
