President Donald Trump has dismissed Iran’s response to American proposals as “completely unacceptable.”

According to Iran’s semi-official Tasnim news agency, Tehran’s proposal, sent via Pakistan, included an immediate end to the conflict on all fronts, the lifting of the American naval blockade, and a guarantee of no further attacks on Iran.

The ceasefire initiated by America and Israel in February to facilitate talks to end the war has largely been observed, despite sporadic skirmishes.

Earlier this week, Trump reiterated that the war with Iran would “end soon.” However, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that Iran’s stockpile of enriched uranium must be “destroyed” before considering the war over.

In an excerpt from an interview on CBS’s ’60 Minutes’, Netanyahu said, “There are still enrichment sites that need to be dismantled.”

On Sunday, Iranian President Masoud Pajeskian did not directly mention the proposal but stated, “We will never bow to the enemy, and if dialogue or talks are mentioned, it does not mean surrender or retreat.”

Trump posted on Truth Social: “I have just read the response from Iran’s so-called ‘representatives’. I did not like it — completely unacceptable.”

According to a report by American news outlet Axios, a one-page, 14-point memorandum from America includes provisions such as halting Iranian nuclear enrichment, lifting sanctions, and resuming free passage through the Strait of Hormuz.

The report cites two American officials and two other unnamed sources familiar with the matter. According to these sources, many conditions in the memorandum will only be implemented once a final agreement is reached.

Iran continues to block the Strait of Hormuz, causing global oil prices to rise.

America, in turn, is pressuring Tehran to agree to its terms by blockading Iranian ports, a move that has angered Iran.
